【IR News】Notice of Selection for Subsidy under “Support for Ukraine’s Reconstruction and Strengthening Collaboration with Central and Eastern European Countries” Program

CYBERDYNE, Inc. (Head Office: Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan; President & CEO: Yoshiyuki Sankai; hereinafter “the Company”) announces that it was selected for the FY2024 Supplementary Budget “Future-Oriented Co-Creation with the Global South” Subsidy called for under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI)’s “Support for Ukraine’s Reconstruction and Strengthening Collaboration with Central and Eastern European Countries” program.

1. Overview
This program supports reconstruction efforts in and around Ukraine, including the rebuilding of destroyed infrastructure and the stabilization of energy supply.
Our selected proposal, titled “Demonstration Project for a Next-Generation Cybernics Treatment Center Combining Wearable Cyborg HAL, Neuroregenerative Medicine, and Epidural Spinal Cord Stimulation,” aims to establish an innovative, integrated treatment center in Ukraine leveraging Cybernics technologies, with UNBROKEN (*)—based in Lviv and home to the country’s largest medical institution—as a principal partner.
By introducing and supporting the operation of advanced therapies in Ukraine and by developing local medical professionals, the Company will contribute to the social reintegration of war-affected individuals and to the restoration of medical infrastructure, thereby supporting sustainable reconstruction.

From the date of grant approval to September 30, 2028

48,798,466 yen

4. Prospect
The subsidy related to this project is expected to be recorded as “Other Income” during the subsidy project period.
