We are pleased to announce that on March 4, 2025, our company entered into a strategic partnership with the Development Center for Biotechnology (DCB), Fu Jen Catholic University (hereinafter “FJCU”), Fu Jen Catholic University Hospital, and the Cybernics Research Center at the University of Tsukuba to promote Cybernics medical and healthcare innovation in Japan and Taiwan.
DCB was established in 1984 by the Department of Industrial Technology (DoIT) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) of Taiwan. It is one of the most important research institutes in Taiwan, specializing in the development of biologics and small molecule drugs, botanical drugs, regenerative medicine, as well as technologies required for preclinical testing and manufacturing. In addition, DCB fosters cross-disciplinary innovation and accelerates the commercialization of research breakthroughs, bridging Taiwan’s biotech industry with the global market and making groundbreaking treatments available.
Founded in 1925, FJCU is a comprehensive university under the direct authority of the Holy See. It holds a respected academic standing in Europe and the Americas and has taken a leading role in private higher education in Asia.
Through this partnership, the five parties will jointly leverage Cybernics, a fusion of Bio/Medical systems and AI/Robotics/Information systems, to improve and advance medical and healthcare services in Japan and Taiwan. This is expected to include the deployment and social implementation in Taiwan of Cybernics treatment using the wearable cyborg “HAL®,” which promotes the improvement and regeneration of brain, nerve, and muscular functions, as well as the “Cyvis®” series, which collects, analyzes, and processes medical and healthcare data on a daily basis using AI. Additionally, we will collaborate to propose and implement initiatives for Bio/Medical innovation by utilizing the Cybernics Medical Innovation Base located at King Skyfront in Kawasaki City.
Furthermore, to develop Cybernics field and foster human resources, we will strengthen collaboration through such as joint research and educational programs, accelerating Cybernics Medical Healthcare innovations and and its social implementation in Japan and Taiwan.
