CYBERDYNE, Inc. (hereinafter “the Company”) is witnessing rapidly growing interest in the Republic of Türkiye in the medical and healthcare applications of Cybernics technology—an innovative field that integrates bio/medical systems with AI/robotics/information systems. In response to this momentum, the Company is steadily advancing initiatives aimed at fostering business partnerships and expanding into Türkiye and the surrounding regions.
As part of these efforts, the Company hosted the international event “Cybernicx Future 2026” in Istanbul on January 30, 2026. The event followed the successful “Cybernicx Future” conference held in Türkiye in 2024, which brought together numerous stakeholders from the medical, industrial, and research sectors.
Cybernicx Future 2026 focused on cutting-edge fields including Cybernics, AI, regenerative medicine, and neuroscience. The event provided a platform for discussing and sharing perspectives on the future of medical care and healthcare shaped by the fusion of humans and technology.
In recent years, Türkiye has faced increasingly visible challenges such as population aging, neurological and neuromuscular disorders, functional mobility impairments, and constraints in medical personnel and healthcare resources. Against this backdrop, advanced technologies represented by Cybernics—which aim to improve, regenerate, support, and augment human physical functions while enhancing the quality and sustainability of healthcare—are attracting heightened attention.
The event received extensive media coverage, beginning with nationwide distribution by a major Turkish news agency and subsequently featured in more than 40 leading national news outlets and specialized healthcare and medical media platforms. Coverage highlighted the transformative potential of integrating humans and technology in medicine, innovative therapeutic and rehabilitation approaches combining neuroscience, AI, and robotics, and the human-centered philosophy underpinning Japan-originated Cybernics technology. The Company’s initiatives were widely recognized as forward-looking technologies with the potential to support the future of healthcare.
Cybernics technology was introduced as an approach highly compatible with Türkiye’s medical challenges, generating strong expectations as a promising solution for advancing medical and healthcare systems in the region.
From a broader strategic perspective, the Government of Japan is currently considering designating six fields—AI and advanced robotics, quantum technology, semiconductors and communications, bio and healthcare, nuclear fusion, and space—as “National Strategic Technologies” under the upcoming Science, Technology and Innovation Basic Plan, with the aim of strengthening both economic growth and national security. In light of recent House of Representatives election results, these areas are expected to remain key policy priorities for Japan.
Within Japan’s Strategic Innovation Promotion Program (SIP) led by the Cabinet Office, CYBERDYNE is playing a central role in research, development, and social implementation of “Cybernics HCPS Fusion Human-Collaborative Robotics,” driven by the integration of humans, AI robots, and information systems based on Cybernics and Physical AI. The Company’s initiatives span two of the designated strategic fields—“AI and Advanced Robotics” and “Bio and Healthcare.” A portion of these achievement has been presented at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.
Building upon global and domestic trends and leveraging the expertise and achievements it has cultivated in the Cybernics domain, CYBERDYNE will continue advancing initiatives aimed at addressing international societal challenges, including those arising from super-aging populations, and contributing to the sustainable evolution of medical and healthcare systems worldwide.
