【News】Tsukuba City: Cybernics International Robot Innovation Base ~ Toward the realization of “Cybernic City”, a city living together with future technology –Provisional contract for the purchase of prefecture-owned land struck with the Ibaraki Prefecture–

With the purpose of advancing the Tsukuba International Strategic Zone, the Ibaraki Prefecture conducted an appeal for proposal-type public bidding for the land described below, and today, December 25, 2015, CYBERDYNE, Inc. entered into a provisional contract for the land.

1. Location: 2-12-4, Gakuen-no-Mori, Tsukuba City, Ibaraki (84,057.48m2)
2. Acquisition Price: JPY 6,615,323,676

• Accelerating the commercialization of the research and development of advanced living support robots.
• Accelerating the commercialization of the research and development of innovative robotic medical devices and technologies.
• Realization of a future-pioneering innovation base that leads the world.
~Organize a system that unifies and advances R&D, international certification, demonstration, social implementation, and development of personnel, and form a global business development base by strengthening collaborations with businesses and uniting entrepreneurs from around the world.

* The provisional contract will be proposed at the First 2016 Ibaraki Prefecture Parliament Meeting, and after a resolution, it will transition into a formal contract.
