【News】The application for medical device approval of Palm-size Vital Sensor has been submitted to the Japanese PMDA

CYBERDYNE, INC. (the “Company”) received confirmation of the acceptance of the application for marketing approval of Vital Sensor as a medical device from the Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices Agency in Japan (“PMDA”) on June 8th, 2018. Vital Sensor is a palm-size device to monitor artery distensibility for detection of arteriosclerosis and electrocardiograph for detection of cardiac arrhythmias.

Based on its unique technology to process vital signals, the Company succeeded in commercial application of Vital Sensor. The device was designed to detect early indication of arteriosclerosis and cardiac arrhythmia that are major causes of cardiovascular diseases such as stroke and cardiac infarction. Through this endeavor to obtain medical device approval for Vital Sensor, the Company aims to prevent and diagnose disease related to cardiovascular systems such as stroke and cardiac infarction at early stages. The Company consequently aims to contribute to solve social problems such as healthcare financing and burdening-care.
