【News】Business alliance with MIHARU, provider of life partner services for seniors

CYBERDYNE Inc. (Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan, CEO Yoshiyuki Sankai, from now on referred to as “the Company”) announced a business alliance with MIHARU inc. (Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, CEO Madoka Akagi, from now on referred to as “MIHARU”), which provides life partner services for seniors. Two companies will launch “HAL with Motto Mates,” a combination of the services of both companies, on February 1, 2022 (Tuesday).

Since April 2020, the Company has provided “Neuro HALFIT at Home” (HAL at Home) as a rental for individuals. The user can sign-up and conduct the program online so that they don’t have to contact others directly. The program will provide HAL to people who have difficulty standing, sitting, walking, or moving their arms on their own due to the decline in physical functions with aging or the aftereffects of stroke or spinal cord injury, so they can receive assistance during exercises to improve their physical functions.
Since its establishment in 2020, MIHARU has been developing the “Motto Mate” as a life partner service for seniors. In this service, staff called “Motto Mate Partners” visits the homes of seniors and provides various programs to meet the needs of seniors, including support for digital devices such as smartphones and computers.　
This business alliance led to the launch of the new service HAL with Motto Mate, where Motto Mate Partners visits users’ homes who have signed up for HAL at Home. The users will receive face-to-face support for everything from setting up the equipment necessary to conduct programs of HAL at Home. The new service will allow users who are not comfortable handling digital equipment to use HAL at Home. It is also expected to establish the habit of conducting HAL at Home when the Motto Mate Partner visits. We hope that HAL with Motto Mate will encourage more seniors to try this program and lead independent and active lives.
Through the collaboration with MIHARU, the Company will aim to realize a healthy and longevity society where all people can enjoy healthy and prosperous lives.
